PRECISION MONITOR 4 is a full range reference monitor designed specifically for superlative tonal and spatial accuracy. Recovery of fine low-level detail, maximum possible resolution, transient accuracy, and exceptional dynamic contrast were our specific design goals. Accurate tracing of all waveform parameters, without exaggeration or artifact is the hallmark of the Precision Monitor 4, a transparent window into the heart of recorded music.

Each model of The PRECISION MONITOR Series will bring image specificity and spatial detail to a precise and dynamic soundstaging envelope. Frequency and phase responses follow the benchmarks set by SAGA and TESSERACT for accuracy; each model is a floor standing monitor-quality reference transducer. Each design in the PRECISION MONITOR series incorporates the latest proprietary phase linear topologies and high current capabilities developed for SAGA. Spatial detail in a panoramic presentation with micro-dynamic contrasts will be their hallmarks.

We have created an exclusive visual surface for the PRECISION MONITOR Line. Each model will be available exclusively in our Polychrome Precision surface, with options for standard-sheen or high-gloss lacquer. The Polychrome Precision surface takes on the color and lighting of the environment, making it extremely neutral and versatile for placement in any décor.

PRECISION MONITOR LINE

The design goal of the PRECISION MONITOR Line is simple: Transfer as much technology as possible from our award-winning Tesseract design into a series of practically sized reference monitors. Proprietary low noise circuitry and phase coherent network technologies will dictate each driver’s performance envelope to create an accurate 3-dimensional reproduction of the original recording. Transient speed and dynamics will be paramount, presenting macro and micro dynamic contrasts to focused images within the breadth and depth of the soundstage.

PM4 internal cabinet construction is uniquely designed with a combination of sealed chambers and multiple labyrinth pathways. Developed over our 30 years of experience into resonance elimination and utilization, PM4 employs both a multi-layered constrained damping platform for the main baffle, along with carefully tuned cavity resonances for eigenmode reinforcement and control. In simple terms, the cabinet functions like a finely made violin or guitar, stiff and non-resonant at the point of sound propagation, with tuned in-phase overtones.

Each driver was specifically developed or tuned for the PM4 application. The entire system is purely pistonic; there are no driver break-up modes within 70db of the signal. The extremely stiff Nomex/Kevlar woofer diaphragms are driven by an exclusive dual magnetic structure. Energy storage is kept to a minimum, revealing dynamic contrasts without compression. The midrange diaphragm is an eggshell-thin ceramic material, driven by our unique dynamic magnetic structure. The neodymium magnetic structure of the tweeter energizes a diamond diaphragm. Its entirely in-phase output extends beyond 50Khz with no flexing or bending distortions.

The key to integrating the physical and drive elements resides in the electrical networks. As stated previously, these proprietary high-current circuits are derived directly from Tesseract. Absolute inter-driver phase linearity and low noise floor are maintained regardless of dynamic demand, insuring image stability and black backgrounds even with the most demanding program material.

The PRECISION MONITOR 1 is a high-efficiency floor-standing reference monitor, designed specifically for generating maximum dynamic contrast and effective sound pressure levels from a compact chassis. Ease of drivability through a non-reactive impedance load presents low powered tube or solid-state electronics with an ideal interface for generating maximum SPL per watt of power applied.

Internal cabinet construction elements and electrical networks are both scaled down versions of the PM4. Each pair of Nomex/Kevlar woofers is mated with a high-energy, phase corrected tweeter. Bandwidth and phase behavior are both exceptional. Image stability and placement within the soundstage are accurately rendered within the context of the recording venue. Low level hall ambience detail is retained in its original recorded phase structure.
